The City of LA International Earthquake Conference will be held at the Omni Hotel atop Bunker Hill in the Downtown Los Angeles.

To receive the special conference rate, reservations must be made by October 12, 2008. The special hotel rate for conference guests is $189 USD plus tax. The special conference rate is available Sunday, November 8, through Tuesday, November 18, 2008. We encourage you to arrive early or extend your stay so you can enjoy Los Angeles and participate in additional activities as part of the Great Southern California ShakeOut.

The Omni Hotel’s central location is next to the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Coburn School of Music, the California Plaza Water Court, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and offers views of historic and modern Los Angeles.
After the conference ends on Friday, November 14, 2008, explore downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, the various cultural centers across the City.  Additionally, on November 14 and 15, the Art Center College of Design (based in Pasadena, CA) will be hosting its Civic Spectacle for earthquakes – you won’t want to miss this public display to engage Southern California in an exciting, educational experience with a call to “Get Ready.”
