A key component to the City of Los Angeles International Earthquake Conference will be the opportunity for information exchange between the many cities present. Though there will be presentations throughout the conference from individuals from cities throughout the world, the conference has a specific opportunity for each municipality to host a booth during the Share Fair during the afternoon of November 13, 2008.

Each invited city will be able to use the booth space to present the different techniques, programs, policies, and strategies they are utilizing to reduce earthquake risk. Conference attendees will have an opportunity to ask specific questions and have a one-on-one dialog with representatives from megacities from around the world. This direct information exchange will help facilitate the implementation and development of best practices that will be compiled at the conclusion of the conference.

All international and invited cities in attendance are invited to have a complimentary booth during this activity and can coordinate by contacting the Share Fair coordinator at info.iec@lacity.org . Confirmation must be received by October 15, 2008.
